Liberian Entertainment Journalist has called on the World and lovers of African music to pay attention to Liberian Music
Liberian Entertainment Journalist Jusu M.Ville Aka DJ JusVille of Big F.M Liberia and Beatwin.com yesterday issued a call to the World and all lovers of
African Music to pay attention to Liberian Music
According to him Liberian Music has got every bit of what the World look out for in terms of good music
The Liberian Radio and online Personality made the call through our studios in Ghana yesterday in a phone conversation with our correspondent E-Torll Anderson
He said that tho a few of Liberian musicians lark contents and need to work on their Arts and craft, he believes that if the World and Liberians in general begin to pay attention to Liberian Music, Liberian Music will be rated at the top on the World Market
DJ JusVille also called on all Liberian Musicians and Entertainers to improve on their Arts and make their country proud
His comment below:
"Here in Liberia a lot of Clubs and Radio Stations still don't patronise Liberian Music, most times you go out there all you'll hear is Ghanaian and Nigerian Musics, its played everywhere[bombing]
"Even the fans and population itself doesn't embrace much of our musics"
He continued:
"With a population of less than four million people, where 10% of are fully running after politics and care less about our Music, whilst 10% are excuse me to say, into prostitution and caring less about Liberian music. Plus another 10% who are Zogos and don't care much about Liberian music. Is it always going to be difficult getting our music out there
He went on to say that its juz a hand full of the youth who are at least following Liberian Music
He Explained:
"Even with the hand full of Liberian youth who are involved in our music most of them don't download or share the Music to people out there
"I remember where we went to launch Beatwin.com, Can you believe that the DJ himself did not have Liberian Musics and was proudly boasting of not having Liberian Musics in his computer?
"It will surprise to see how proud he was saying that he has 'no Liberian Music in his computer'. I was very disappointed and heartbroken when I saw that" he paused
When asked as to whether he had any idea of why this is happening in the country, this was what he had to say :
"All of this is happening because most of our people don't really pay attention to our music they rather other people music especially Ghanaian and Nigerian Music
" They complaint that most of our Artists larks contents and are copying and twisting other Artists style, which is also true"
He named Cralo Boi CIC, Christoph The Change, TeddyRide, TakunJ, Mr.Smith Pascal, J.B of Soul Fresh,Chiller Coolnanee and Deng as few of those Artists who are doing well in the country, he applauded the Stars, adding that their musics are good and can be played in any DJ's playlist no matter the country he comes from
He continued:
I wanna assure the World and every music lovers out there including all Liberians around the World that if you should give us your attention, our Artists are very well prepared and ready to give you the best of musics you look out for. Tho most of our Artists larks contents which we're calling on them to improve on, I can assure U for a fact that if only you give us your attention our music will be rated at the top of the World Market"
He ended by saying :
"God bless Liberian Music and God bless everyone who following this channel and thanks for having me on your show
Its our prayer that his prayer be answered and that the world accepts and embrace Liberian music
